About the Work

I made these works at a time when I was disillusioned with my art practice. Instead of making works antagonistic to  consumerism and capitalism in a world increasingly beholden to brands and technology, I started investigating the subtle body. Finding inspiration in diverse sources including Eastern and new age spiritualism, phrenology, body shape charts and thermal imaging, I brought them all together with the colors of the prismatic spectrum and the structure of sacred geometry. The results are a series of paintings that express a desire to find a different way of being, one with a greater engagement with our subtle bodies, as well as a greater awareness of being present.
